IHK Reutlingen

The Chamber of Commerce and Industry (IHK) in Reutlingen represents the interests of around 33.000 companies from Reutlingen, Tübingen and Zollernalb and is service provider to the regional economy. As a public legal body, it also regulates state duties and acts as an expert partner and advisor in economic matters for ministries, courts and authorities. More than 1.200 companies make charitable donations to plenary meetings, committees and advisory boards of IHK Reutlingen. Its specialist knowledge ensures that the IHK is able to fulfill its duties for the benefit of the economy. The organizational structure of the Chamber of Commerce and Industry (IHK) is grouped into six divisions:

Politics

The politics division is the heart of the IHK, establishing contacts to the political decision makers on a local, regional and national level. The IHK aims to articulate and implement the interests of the regional economy.

Start-up aid and company support

The German system of dual training combines a theoretic transfer of knowledge in school with practical training in the business. The IHK oversees training standards and organizes the intermediate and final exams of trainees.
